Choosing classic business cards

Start with the impression you want to leave. An uncoated surface feels like paper and may suit handwritten details; a smooth coated card gives colour a different character. Thickness and finish are separate choices. Tell us if a small typeface, dark solid colour or special finish is central to the design so we can review the combination before quoting.

Formats to discuss

This request can include 18pt Classic Business Cards, High Gloss Business Cards, Silk Matte Business Cards, 16pt Classic Business Cards. These are specification preferences for a custom inquiry. Availability, stock, finishing combinations and any accessories are checked by the studio. Use “Help me choose” when you do not have a preference, or describe a custom requirement in the item notes. If two designs need different specifications, add them as separate items so the quote is clear.

Designed for the way you use it

A clear name, role and next action matter more than filling every corner. Ottawa trades can pair a direct phone number with their service focus, while professional practices may prefer a quieter layout. If several team members share a design, list each name and the quantity required as separate items.

Preparing your artwork

Send separate front and back pages at the intended finished size. Keep contact details and QR codes away from the trim edge. A special finish may need an additional mask file, but wait for the approved template before building one. We will confirm bleed, safe areas and finish tolerances for the chosen production method.

From request to production

Choose your quantity, upload artwork if it is ready, and tell us when you need the finished pieces. You can request design assistance or send artwork later. The team checks the specification and may ask for measurements or a revised file. You receive a versioned quote with a clear scope and expiry. Accepting that quote does not approve the artwork: the current proof needs a separate approval before production can be scheduled.

Planning your timing

Your requested date helps us assess the job; it is not a production commitment. Scheduling depends on the specification, quantity, material availability, artwork readiness and approval. Pickup is available at our Ottawa studio by arrangement. Delivery and installation locations are reviewed individually, with costs and access conditions set out in the quote.
